Beabadoobee has launched into the next frontier on her new EP Space Cadet. The 19-year Old Phillipino British artist is the front woman of her trio band, she sings vocals and plays lead guitar.

Currently on tour with Clairo, beabadoobee has wowed the world once again with her second release of 2019.

With topics centering around childhood, mental health, and relationships, beabadoobee’s music is focused on being herself. Her influences include Elliott Smith and Daniel Johnson, but stylistically fans of 90s alternative like Sixpence None the Richer, L7, and Garbage should gravitate towards beabadoobee.

At just five tracks and roughly 20 minutes in length Space Cadet is delightfully solid. The playful lead single “She Plays Bass” has a strong bridge and beautiful organs in the background to accompany the rhythm. “I Wish I Was Stephen Malamus” has heavy grunge vibes. Perhaps the best highlight off the project is “ Sun More Often” which is somewhat of a hybrid between the vibes of the other songs. Bea’s light pitched singing and the hard rock influences are what truly define her sound.
